A real paid line, not a checkbox
Gift wrapping goes into the cart as an actual product at your price, charged by your store through OpoShop's own checkout. The money is yours, on the same payout as everything else.
GiftBow puts a “This is a gift” toggle beside your buy button. Shoppers pay for wrapping and write their message right there — and it lands on your packing screen, word for word.
Built for OpoShop · made for shops that pack their own boxes
Why GiftBow
Gift buyers are your highest-intent shoppers and your least forgiving ones. GiftBow covers the whole job — the upsell, the note, and the packing table.
Gift wrapping goes into the cart as an actual product at your price, charged by your store through OpoShop's own checkout. The money is yours, on the same payout as everything else.
The note is stored on the order itself in OpoShop — not just inside GiftBow. It's there in your own order screen, and it stays there even if you ever remove the app.
Every order that bought wrapping, newest first, each one showing the note in handwriting-size type. Tap to mark it wrapped. Print the whole morning's cards at once.
Charge once for the whole parcel, or per item for shops that wrap each piece separately. Change it whenever — your storefront updates within a minute.
Offer wrapping on everything, or only on chosen collections or products — and exclude anything that can't be wrapped, like downloads or oversized pieces.
It borrows your button colour and corners, sits under the buy box, never covers it, and never renders in your theme editor. If GiftBow ever fails to load, your shop looks exactly as it always did.
How it works
One screen: type what you charge for wrapping and press the button. GiftBow adds a hidden gift-wrap product to your catalogue — hidden from your shop, available in the cart.
A “This is a gift” toggle appears under your buy button. Turning it on adds wrapping to the cart and opens a note box — To, From, and their message.
The order lands in your Gift Queue with the note ready to copy onto a card. Wrap it, tap it, move on. The counter goes down.
On your storefront
The most common reason shops avoid gift apps is fear of what they'll do to a carefully built product page. GiftBow adds one card under the buy box and touches nothing else on the page — no overlay, no pop-up, no layout it didn't create.
In your admin
The Gift Queue isn't a report — it's the packing table. Every order that bought wrapping, with the shopper's exact words set in handwriting-size type so you can copy them onto a card without opening anything.
Why shops ask for this
GiftBow is new, so there are no customer quotes here yet — just the problems it was built to fix.
“Can you include a note?” arrives by email, gets copied into a spreadsheet, and one of them gets missed in December.
Wrapping is done for free because there's nowhere to charge for it — so the paper, the ribbon and the ten minutes come out of the margin.
Order notes get used for “it's a gift”, “no receipt please” and “leave with a neighbour” all at once, and nothing is where you'd look for it.
FAQ
No. OpoShop injects GiftBow's script for you when you install it. There's no snippet to paste, no template to touch, and nothing to undo if you remove the app.
To you. The wrap is a normal product line on the order, charged by your store through OpoShop's checkout and paid out with everything else. GiftBow never holds funds and never takes a cut.
No. GiftBow creates it as an unlisted product: buyable from the cart when a shopper asks for it, but hidden from your product listings, collections and search.
On the order itself, inside OpoShop — so it's visible in your own order screen as well as in GiftBow's queue, and it stays on the order permanently. GiftBow also keeps a copy while the shopper is still filling their cart, so a reload never loses a half-typed note.
Honestly, no. If your orders ship straight from a print partner you never handle the parcel, so there's nothing to wrap and no card to write. GiftBow is built for shops that pack their own boxes. We'd rather tell you that now than after a customer has paid for wrapping nobody can do.
Yes. Offer it on everything, on chosen collections, or on a hand-picked list of products — and exclude anything that should never be offered wrapping, like digital downloads or oversized pieces.
Your storefront carries on exactly as before. The widget fails invisibly: if it can't reach us it renders nothing at all rather than showing an error, and it can never block a page, a cart or a checkout.
The gift messages shoppers write, your settings, and the gift orders in your queue. No card details ever, and no buyer emails or addresses. Everything is scoped to your store alone. See the privacy policy.
Install GiftBow from the OpoShop App Store, set a price, and the toggle is live on your product pages before your next order.
